Schindler's
List will always be a valuable teaching tool on
the horrors of the Holocaust. Unfortunately, because
it carries an "R" rating, many students (strictly
secondary) will not have the opportunity to view it
as part of a unit on
this great tragedy. I was blessed to present the movie
to a group of gifted and talented students (with parental
permission) who remarked that it was probably the most
important lesson they learned in high school. That was
before it was placed on a list preventing it's showing
in the classroom.
